UNIVERSITY OF HERTFORDSHIRE | IDI – ONLINE LEARNING
Founded in 2004, the Interactive Design Institute has grown to become one of the UK’s leading providers of accredited online courses in art and design subjects. Before becoming the Interactive Design Institute, the company was known as the Studio Art School and under that name was approved by the City and Guilds of London Institute, the Scottish Qualifications Authority and ABC Awards to deliver a range of art and design courses online.
In 2008, IDI was approached by the University of Hertfordshire to adapt a number of their art and design degrees for online delivery. Since then, the partnership has grown and IDI now deliver four of the university’s MA programmes and three of their BA (Hons) programmes 100% online to students across the world.
Our partnership with the University of Hertfordshire means that you can earn a globally-respected qualification from a UK university from anywhere in the world.
The final certificate you receive when graduating from one of the online BA (Hons) or MA courses is exactly the same degree as on-campus students studying at the University of Hertfordshire.
Our Vision
It’s our mission to give everyone the opportunity to get their degree in a design subject, without having to attend an on-campus college or university.
Key to our success is our understanding that students studying online require more support, not less – which is why we place such an emphasis on our online support and tuition.
Our Standards
Our focus on maintaining high standards of online tuition and support continues to produce results. In the most recent academic year, 73% of our undergraduate students gained a 2:1 (upper second-class honours) or above.
