About University of East Anglia

Founded in 1963 the University of East Anglia (UEA) is a beautiful campus University, located in the medieval city of Norwich - not unlike Oxford but without tourists! Comprising eighteen Schools of Study, UEA enjoys an international reputation in diverse areas: film studies, creative writing and the pioneering groupings for which we are famous, such as environmental sciences, development studies and world art studies. Degree courses cover a broad spectrum, including natural sciences, social sciences and the arts.

UEA is part of the Norwich Research Park, Europe's largest Research Centre in Biology and Plant sciences. UEA also has an excellent reputation in the arts, particularly through their links with the literary world and their Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts.
